Frameworks
Frameworks is a new program offering from Circle designed for students in grades 4, 5 and 6. This program serves as a core academic opportunity to provide students with a full day of classes in an integrated learning environment on our HOUSE campus locations.
This rigorous academic program will present 4th, 5th and 6th grade students core subjects in a grade level classroom environment. The goal of the FRAMEWORKS pilot program is to prepare students for the next transition in their education - Middle School - by partnering with parents and instructors to provide "framework" to encourage the success of each student through increased responsibility, independence, and accountability in the integrated subject areas offered.
New for 2010-11
This year Circle will expand the H.O.U.S.E. program calendar to include 30 weeks of instruction and planned activity days. These new planned activity days will allow the program to bring forward student opportunities and events such as International Day with a project fair and the National Geographic Geography Bee, Club Day with opportunities for our student clubs to meet, International Science Day with the K-6 Science Fair, etc. Students enrolled in the FRAMEWORKS program will also have opportunities to engage in these activities and events.
Courses and Textbooks
This program requires purchase of course textbooks for each student. Parents are responsible for purchase of the required textbooks for all courses for their student. Some textbooks and resources for this program are still under development and will be finalized by March 5, 2010.
Course grades are assigned by the Frameworks instructors with weekly assignment sheets or "study guides" developed by the instructors to guide the at-home instruction and lessons to be completely daily.

Theme
"Passport to the World" will be the theme for Circle's H.O.U.S.E. program for the 2010-11 school year and will also be utilized by the Frameworks program allowing for integration of activities and events between the two programs. Course offerings will have an "international flair" to the activities and lessons with an emphasis on world geography and world missions. Subject areas such are presented with a cultural twist meshed with planned activity days to enlighten the theme.
