Does CCS offer field trips?
The CCS Activity Resource Guide is published annually with over 100 pre-planned field trips scheduled throughout the entire school year. Families have the opportunity to use the events as part of their teaching strategy by incorporating the events into their planning schedule.
What do I do if an event is closed?
If an event is closed you may either take the information that is provided in the guide to schedule your own group or wait to see if an additional date will be scheduled. If another date is scheduled, you will be contacted by mail. Those families that were signed up for the original date will have first priority to the new event. You will automatically be moved to the new date. You must call and either confirm your attendance or remove your name from the new event date
Must I sign up for the "free" activities?
Even if there is no charge for an event, sign up is essential. We must have controls on numbers in attendance as well as the ability to contact you if an event is changed or cancelled.
When should I sign up for an activity?
You may sign up for an event at any time prior to the event deadline as listed in the ARG. However, it is imperative that you call the ARG Voice Mail and leave a message removing your name from the sign up list before the deadline if you are unable to attend. If illness or another immediate need prevents you from attending on the day of the event, call the ARG Voice Mail and indicate that you will not be in attendance.
How do I pay for activities?
If payment is due, it must be made by the deadline. Deadlines will vary so please cancel or make payment by the stated date. Your payment reserves your place for the event.
What about refunds?
Because tickets are purchased in blocks at the time of the deadline, refunds are only available if you cancel your reservation for an event prior to the published deadline. May I plan activities for small groups during the year?
Absolutely! You are welcome to plan any activities you would like. If you are interested in planning a school wide event to be announced in the newsletter, call the office and give the details.
I faxed my registration for field trips. Was I supposed to get a confirmation? How do I check?
No, you do not receive confirmations for events. You will only be contacted if we need to make any changes to the events.
