Circle Christian Basketball2009-10 Varsity Team

"A Tradition of Excellence"

Circle Christian has been an approved member of the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) since 2002. For boys basketball, the Centurions currently are assigned to participate in Class 2A, District 7.

Since joining the FHSAA, Circle's boys basketball resume contains the following highlights:

  • An FHSAA District Championship
  • An FHSAA Regional Final (Elite "8") game in the State Tournament
  • Advanced to Regional play in the FHSAA State Tournament 4 times
  • Been State Ranked by the Florida Sportswriters in 3 seasons
  • The 1st FHSAA Class 1A school to be invited to play in the prestigious ‘Winter Park Rotary Invitational Tournament'
  • Since the 2003 - 2004 season, 6 CCS players have earned college basketball scholarships

Prior to joining the FHSAA, Circle Christian won a State Championship in the Florida Christian Conference.

By vote of the FHSAA District 7 coaches, Drew Ramirez was named to the 2009 - 2010 ‘All District' 1st Team and Sam Tarell was named to the ‘All District' 2nd

2009-10 Season Highlights

The following Centurions were published by the Orlando Sentinel as Area Leaders for the 2009 - 2010 season:
  • Drew Ramirez was 2nd in ‘3's' made and 5th in free throw percentage
  • Sam Tarell was 4th in rebounding
  • Nick Marshall was 5th in assists
  • Justin Reyes was 7th in field goal percentage
  • Zach Tahner was 12th in field goal percentage and 28th in rebounding

    Regional Semifinal defeated Bronson High School 73-62
    Regional Final lost to Brevard Christian 88-72
