What makes Circle unique?
Circle Christian School is founded upon a commitment to and a passion for
families. The school adheres to the conviction that God has ordained parents to
be the ones who are primarily responsible for the education of their children.
Circle's mission is to provide resources and tools to parents so that they can
make significant investments of character training and academic excellence in
the lives of their children.
In the early 1980's a small group of homeschooling parents gathered to discuss the challenges they were facing. They were encountering many obstacles which hampered their goals of teaching their children.
The group recognized that many of the hindrances they faced could be eliminated by joining together in community and creating an organization that was able to address the administrative issues of homeschooling while giving themselves time to focus on the specific needs of their individual families.
Under the leadership of Jim and Linda Werner, the group founded Circle Christian School. Since those humble beginnings, Circle has become one of the foremost homeschooling support organizations in the nation. Circle is a "world class" organization according to Home School Legal Defense Association founder and author, Michael Farris in his book The Future of Home Schooling.
Circle's goal is to blend the best elements of the conventional school model with the one-on-one tutorial instruction of homeschooling. Circle provides administrative oversight and academic structure coupled with an extensive support and activity network. Circle offers families the accountability and structure of a private school while insuring parents the influence and direction of a homeschooling format.
Circle supports the homeschooling community with a full array of services. The focus falls into two major categories:
- Resources for families and
- Opportunities for students.
