Academics

  • In 2007, 2 out of 3 students participated in at least one class offering.
  • 160 different classes were offered.

 

Arts

  • The arts program began in 2000 with 12 students.
  • In 2007, more than 130 students were involved in arts classes.
  • The Circle Theatre Company, founded in 2004, provides a venue for interested students to be involved in full-stage theatre productions.  In 2007 CTC productions included the musical "Annie Get Your Gun", "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever", and "Taming of the Shrew".

Athletics

  • Over 200 student athletes participate annually in Kids at Play, elementary and middle school team sports, and 11 junior varsity and varsity level sports (baseball, basketball, bowling, cheerleading, cross country, golf, soccer, swimming, tennis, track and field, volleyball).

Graduation History

  • The total number of graduates from 1987 - 2007 is 788.
  • The first graduating class was the Class of 1987 with 2 graduates.
  • The Class of 2008 will be the largest to date with 88 graduates.

National Merit Scholarship Program History

Through 2007-08, Circle has had

  • 11 National Merit Scholars,
  • 16 Commended Scholars, and
  • 3 Special Merit Scholars.

Real Life Success

  • 70% of Circle graduates pursue a college degree.
  • According to the Orlando Sentinel (Feb. 2004), Circle graduates had the highest scholarship retention rate of the 80 central Florida high schools participating in Florida’s Bright Futures Scholarship Program.
  • Former students are now returning to Circle to enroll their children and begin the next generation of homeschooling.
